About Mansfield:

Mansfield is a town located in Bristol County, Massachusetts. As of the United States 2000 Census, the town had a total population of 22,414.

The public schools here are made up of Robinson School, Jordan/Jackson Elementary School, Harold Qualters Middle School, and the Mansfield High School; many children of all ages attend these schools every day.

Mansfield History:

Mansfield was first settled in 1659 and was officially incorporated in 1775. Mansfield is largely known for being the home of the Tweeter Center (formerly Great Woods) concert venue, one of the most important in Massachusetts.

Benjamin E. Bates, an industrialist and philanthropist, who was the founder of Bates College was born in Mansfield in 1808.
